Certainly some good perspective on the guardian itself; the wings may need a perspective tilt so they apply themselves to the angle of the direction of movement. Some shadow would also highlight the great curves of the form. Keep at it! :D

I'm sure it'll look fantastic when it's done; you've got some great scope going on there. In a couple of months time after its completion as well, you could look back on it and make any changes with the experience you've made in terms of progress. Certainly helps me improve a classic piece!
